A lot of festival goers flock down Peel Street in the cooler hours of the morning before going back to cooler places; a concert, pub, accommodation or caravan park.

Tuesday will also reach the 40s with the mercury expected to get up to 41 degrees Celsius. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will “cool off” with the temperature reaching 39, 38 and 37 respectively.

There is a chance of a late shower on Wednesday with a 50 per cent chance of one to five millimetres, Thursday there’s an 80 per cent chances of possible thunderstorms bringing down one to five millimetres and there’s a 40 per cent chance of a clearing shower on Friday.
Locals and tourists were dismayed with the town pool was closed on Friday for maintenance.
