Hundreds have converged on the popular dam over the last week with warm temperatures being recorded across the region.
From boating to skiing, kayaking to sailing, there’s been plenty of action on the water in the lead up to the new year.
After a hot and dry month, the dam is currently at 39.3 per cent capacity.
Keepit Dam is situated on the Namoi River about 40 kilometres upstream of Gunnedah.
The dam has a capacity of 425,000 megalitres, making it nearly as large as Sydney Harbour.
Keepit Dam is named after a property Keypit on which it is built.
We had our photographer there to capture some of the fun as hundreds saw out the year that was.
