FOR the past 46 years Tamworth's population has more than doubled in size as country music fans swarm into the city to watch their favourite acts perform.
From the buskers on Peel St to the stars and their golden guitars - there is no denying that in January Tamworth has a country music atmosphere like no other.
Like the four women on our magazine cover photo, the careers of Aleyce Simmonds, Fanny Lumsden, Kasey Chambers and Ashleigh Dallas all started as a dream. In late November last year they found themselves together as finalists for the 2018 Female Artist of the Year Golden Guitar Award.
The festival really is the place where stars are born.
Welcome, and thanks for joining the party.
