IT IS one of the fancier events on the festival calendar.
So if you're looking to trade in the jeans for a dress or suit head to the Tamworth Country Music Festival Gala Dinner for a night of fine food, wine and top-shelf entertainment.
The big event at the Tamworth Golf Club on January 23 will feature golden guitar winners Jetty Road, making their return to Tamworth after a hiatus, the Weeping Willows and international guests.
Hosting the event is former Australian Idol and The Voice contestant Hayley Jensen, who is making waves with her latest single Summertime Soundtrack.
The price tag for the event - now in it’s second year - includes a three course meal and drinks along with entertainment from five artists.
"It feels like it's getting bigger and better and it's only the second year," Jensen said.
"I'll be be hosting it and singing again. It will again be an awesome night.
"It was so fantastic last year with the food and the entertainment."
The event adds a touch of glitter and glamour that can only normally be seen at the Golden Guitar awards.
"It's kind of the next level of glamour and it's creating something a little bit different for festival goers," Jensen said.
"Come along and enjoy the music."
The event is one of many on the cards for Jensen during the festival who is coming back with some fresh new music.
She also shares a special connection to Tamworth as her father watched her perform in the country music capital before he died.
"It feels like a second home to me now and it does have that special connection for me and my dad," she said.
"Everytime I sing in Tamworth I can just feel him there with me. Sometimes when I look into the crowd it is almost like I can feel him smiling at me."
You can also catch Jensen at Country Music Cocktails on the first Saturday of the festival along with performances across the city over the ten days.
