Renowned high-performance sports coach Wayne Goldsmith will be the keynote presenter at NIAS’ 2018 coaching induction day this weekend.
NIAS coaches, together with regional coaches, will participate in development workshops – focusing on leadership, developing athletes and creating a positive sporting culture within communities, on and off the field.
Sunday’s session will focus on coaching in 2030.
Goldsmith’s holistic and positive approach to sport is highly regarded, NIAS CEO James Cooper said.
“Wayne’s experience stems from junior club-level sporting organisations to elite and Olympic programs, including the Wallabies, the All Blacks, North Melbourne Kangaroos, to name a few,” Cooper said.
“With 25 years experience, Wayne presents effective and efficient solutions to problems faced in sporting scenarios.
“This weekend aims at improving sport leadership between athletes and coaches and enhance positive attitudes towards sport and performance.”
