One person has died and another seriously injured following a serious collision on the New England Hwy at Parkville.
Emergency services responded just after 8am following reports of a collision between a truck and a car.
One person has died; a second patient, a man aged in his 50s, was trapped for a period with a leg and back injuries. He is expected to be airlifted by the NSW Ambulance & Westpac Rescue Helicopter to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.

An accident involving a vehicle and a truck has occurred at around 8am, 10km north of Scone.
Emergency services are currently at the scene, with the New England Highway closed in both directions.
Diversions are in place via Liverpool Street, Middlebrook Road and Cressfield Road for light vehicles. Heavy vehicles are currently being stored.
Vehicles travelling towards Scone are advised to avoid the area.
