Jordon Wiggins, 23, known to friends as “Wiggo”, died when his car left the road and rolled, just after 11:30pm on Saturday.

The crash occurred on Millie Road at Bellata, 50 kilometres north of Narrabri, and a 21-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with injuries.

Devastated by the loss of the young man, tributes flowed from family and friends about their loved one.

Mum Fiona Wiggins said her son grew up in Walcha and loved his community.

“Jordon was passionate about sport especially Robb Rugby Club,” Mrs Wiggins said.

“Jordon completed high school at TAS where he became a wonderful leader and his peers spoke very highly of him.”

One of Mr Wiggins best mates Zac Ernest said he was an outstanding man who always had time for others.

“Even though he wasn’t a first grade player he would still give it his all and always would help put any way he could,” Mr Ernest said.

Mr Wiggins was studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science at the University of New England, and lived on Robb College.

Robb Rugby president Lawson Muir said the club has lost one of its favourite sons.

“He was one of the best blokes that Robb Rugby has ever been involved with and was loved and respected by all associated with the club,” Mr Muir said.

“His easy-going personality and work ethic were second to none, he turned up week and week out with a smile on his face and a ready-to-go attitude.

“He was always happy to stick around and do anything for anyone after the game.”

Mr Wiggins grew up in Walcha and attended The Armidale School.

Friends posted tributes and memories on Mr Wiggin’s Facebook page.

Kyle Will met Mr Wiggins on a study tour at the Regents International School in Pattaya, Thailand in 2013.

Mr Wiggins worked at the school on a gap year, where he helped with PE classes and at the boarding houses.

He also started up the Pattaya Rams, a nod to his former team in Armidale – and the game has become a popular sport at the school.

“You have touched so many lives in your lifetime and had a positive impact on all of them,” friend Kyle Will wrote.

“You were always such a positive person and passionate about everything you embarked on like starting the Pattaya Rams.

“You were always so supportive of everyone with their endeavours including mine, you would always give me messages of support which would lift me up.”
