The Gold Coast based artist is heading to Tamworth this weekend where he’ll perform a free show at the Tamworth Services Club from 8.30pm.
After enjoying chart success with the first single, Douglas released his self titled EP in September.
“It’s just me to the core,” he said.
“Every song in there is who I am; I wouldn’t have put it on the EP, if it hadn’t been something I’d experienced in my life or if I hadn’t been able to relate to it.”
Growing up in Indiana and spending a fair amount of time in Georgia has shaped the artist’s musical outlook, although he is a relative newcomer to public performance, kicking off his country career only a few years ago.
And of course in Australian country music, all roads lead to Tamworth with Douglas finalising his 2018 Country Music Festival dates.
While in Tamworth this visit, he’ll also appear on Balcony TV hosted by Aleyce Simmonds.
“I’m looking forward to it,” he said.
“Tamworth is like coming home to family. It’s great to catch up with old friends and make new friends and the fans.”
