Disability Links Expo committee member Danielle Northey said the event at Tamworth Sports Dome was busy right up until closing time.
“It was very well-attended, probably because we’re 12 months into the NDIS, so you’ve got more people who have a plan and a better understanding of what they’re looking for,” she said.
“We were really happy with the turnout.”
The 56 exhibitors at the 10th annual event included some new people plus “staple” exhibitors, Mrs Northey said.
They were from the areas of employment, transport, advocacy, education, equipment, support services, housing, health and more.
Mrs Northey said the committee would hold a debriefing meeting next week, discuss what worked well and what could be improved, and “set the wheels in motion to start again for another year”.
”There will always be a need for disability support and a need for knowledge.”
