The all-Armidale affair was the only Round 14 fixture to go ahead with the other two games in Armidale, and the Mushies clash with Joeys FC in Inverell washed out.
Norths United co-coach Scott Freeman praised his sides determination to fight their way back into the game.
“It was a very quick start.
“We were 1-nil down very very quickly,” Freeman said.
It’s the second game in a row they have found themselves in that situation, with the Redmen conceding the first goal against Demon Knights before turning things around and taking the points 3-1.
Peter Ince was prominent up front with a hat-trick.
Declan Druitt and Anthony Holmes also found the back of the net for the victors, while Jake Davies’ boot kept Easts in the contest, the striker nailing all four of their goals.
