The winners of the Bruce Beveridge Bowl Scratch Team event at the North and North Western Ladies Golf Association Annual Tournament – Tamworth and Gunnedah – played scratch matchplay for the Moree Salver.
Tamworth’s team – consisting of Lesley Jeffriess, Di Bramlett, Prue Done, Peta Johnson and Stephanie King – was the winner by three matches to two.
Tamworth’s team – Ros Sadler, Vicki Betts and Joan Thomas – also took out the Thacker Salver with four matches while Quirindi claimed three and Gunnedah two.
Quirindi, as the host club for the play-off, was invited to play in the three-way handicap matchplay for the Thacker Salver.
The Quirindi Lady Golfers’ hospitality was much appreciated with morning tea and lunch provided while the course was in good condition for the play-offs.
