The skywalk at the playground has been cordoned off since teens allegedly used bolt cutters to cut cables overnight on May 15.
Council brought specialist engineers in to review the damage, and recommended initial temporary repairs to get the skywalk back up and running within the next fortnight. TRC Acting Manager Horticulture and Recreation Murray Russell said council would then carry out further work in the coming months to bring the equipment back to its original condition.
The wheelchair carousel, which has also been closed after a young girl allegedly had her toe severed while playing on June 10, will open later this week.
