The Tamworth product is one of several players backing up from the recent test series against Pakistan in Darwin, which the Kookaburras won 4-nil.
Veteran Eddie Ockenden and Dylan Wotherspoon both come back into the squad after a stint playing in Europe, while Matt Swann will make his international come-back after rehabilitating from a broken foot suffered in mid-2016.
“The players we have coming in are long standing Kookaburras, and we would like to see them play in the team structure that we have as a result of new players being selected to the 2017 squad,” Kookaburras head coach Colin Batch said.
The Kookaburras face New Zealand in their opening game on Saturday.
They then take on Malaysia on April 30, followed by India (May 2), Great Britain (May 3) and Japan (May 5), with the finals on May 6.
