The intersection of White and Carthage streets will be closed to traffic on Saturday March 18, to allow installation of a new 375mm water main to get underway.

The work is part of the ongoing White St Reconstruction Works.
Crews will start work at 7am on Saturday to install a new 375mm water main across the intersection. Work is scheduled to be completed across the intersection and the road reopened to traffic by 4pm. On Tuesday next week, March 21, work will continue on installing further sections of the new main in Carthage St.
The street will remain open to traffic, however, there will be some changes to traffic conditions. There will also be some disruptions to the water supply for some nearby residents.
