Five squads – rugby union, rugby 7s, rugby league, golf and hockey will hold regional training days.
The hockey squads are well into their program and will host their compatriots from the Hunter Academy of Sport and Western Region Academy of Sport.
The weekend camp, which will run from 8am to 4pm on Saturday and 8am to 1pm on Sunday, will comprise extensive skill sessions, fitness and match play with the support of Richard Willis of Hockey NSW.
Former Kookaburra Matthew Smith will also be offering his expertise.
The golf camp will also run both days at the Tamworth Golf Club. Saturday will also see the rugby and boys and girls rugby 7s squads kicking off their programs for 2017, with the rugby and sevens boys in Tamworth and the girls at Barraba.
On Sunday the league boys will hold their first regional training session from 10am at Jack Woolaston Oval.
