“The draw is going to be the drawback,” Natty said after sighting that the Art Major mare had drawn barrier five.
Each February Peter Bullock - along with his two sons Cameron and Travis - place the Joan Bullock Memorial on the Tamworth program in memory of their late wife and mother.
“It’s a nice race to put on. They were a close family and Joan was a very nice person,” Natty said.
Peter Hedges will drive Artistica Uno, and Natty has his faith in the handy reinsman.
“Peter knows the mare and the mare has been working very nice,” he said.
“The whole program has got some pretty competitive races.”
Natty has two horses engaged at the meeting with Gotta Feeling to commence from barrier six in the Northern Daily Leader Pace (1980m) and coming into the race off a last start win at Tamworth.
“He has drawn the visitors draw and I think he will find it tough from there,” he said.
Queensland trainer Stephen Bunz will meanwhile return to Tamworth after a successful January Carnival campaign where he finished third in the $25,000 Prydes Easifeed Golden Guitar Final.
Change The Nation, who was second in a heat of the Golden Guitar series, has drawn the pole in the Happy 60th Anniversary Toby & Judy Grant Pace while Im Angus Mattgregor will compete in the Old Boys Pace 9th April Pace.
