The club is celebrating after six of its players earned selection for Tamworth’s Open and Under-17 teams.
That total is a record since the club was first established in 2015.
Jess Finney, Kate Boyce, Sharon Taylor, Jalessa Sloane and Lizz Pearson have earned selection in the Open side, with Dakota McRodden featuring in the Under-17 team.
Finney is a new recruit for Albert, joining the club after moving to Tamworth from Sydney where she spent the past 11 years as part of the Hawkesbury Netball Club.
New surroundings also beckon for Pearson, who previously played with Westview and represented Tamworth in State League Carnivals last year.
Sloane also represented Tamworth last year and played with the Albert Phoenix B-grade team which qualified for the semi-finals last year.
Boyce has earned selection in the Open side for the first time since moving north from Victoria, while Taylor is a popular member of the Albert side since joining the Firebirds in 2016.
Her daughter Dakota McRodden previously played for South Bowlo, but the lure of playing alongside Mum has seen her join Albert.
A rising star of the netball ranks, McRodden has previously represented Tamworth at State League carnivals.
The Tamworth Netball Association is in for a busy season, with representative commitments at various carnivals.
But the highlight of the calendar is the NSW state championships on the June long weekend.
