The Toyota Star Maker concert on Sunday night pulled a capacity crowd, as party people squeezed into every nook and cranny to hear up-and-coming country stars.
Rachael Fahim was named the 2017 winner after 10 young country acts performed in front of the largest crowd to ever witness the final, held for the first time in Bicentennial Park.
Guy Sebastian surprised the crowd by singing during his guest appearance, to the delight of many screaming young fans.
“To have a superstar like Guy Sebastian in Tamworth supporting country music’s talent quest is a big coo for the industry and proves that the Australian country music industry is going from strength to strength,” Festival Manager Barry Harley said.
All of the action of TCMF continues this week, culminating in the closing concert at Toyota Park on Sunday night.
