WERRIS Creek residents are being asked to watch their water use, after Liverpool Plains Shire Council (LPSC) instituted Level 1 water conservation measures, effective immediately.

Level 1 means that sprinklers are restricted to two hours a day, wash down of hard/paved surfaces can only be done with high pressure hoses and only top up of pools is allowed with a permit required for filling amounts over 2000 litres.
“Sustained, around-the-clock operation of the Werris Creek Water Treatment Plant has resulted in the requirement for this declaration to ensure continued supply to all consumers in Werris Creek,” LPSC Mayor Andrew Hope said.
“I ask all consumers to respect these conservation measures to ensure continuity of supply.
“Failure to do so will force council to further increase them,” he said.
