Steve Waugh Cricket has partnered with Central North Cricket to host a two-day clinic at Farrer on December 21-22. The clinic is open to boys and girls aged between 10 and 19 and will cover all aspects of batting, bowling, wicketkeeping and fielding, strategy and tactics, teamwork, health and fitness.
Cost is $170 per player for two days or $290 for two siblings for two days, and bookings can be made at stevewaughcricket.com.au/registration.
A couple of the zones best young female juniors are meanwhile currently in Hobart playing for ACT/NSW Country in the U18 National Female Championships, and performing well.
Scone’s Kirsten Smith has been their top-scorer twice with knocks of 48 and 67, while Inverell’s Claire Lennon has figured among the wickets all of her bowls and has twice picked up two wickets.
