Lia Mahony, who served as president for the last year, has stepped down from the board and a new president will be elected at the board’s first meeting.
Powerhouse Hotel general manager Ben Davies had been filling in on the board this year, and will return, while CH on Peel owner Jye Segboer, who has served on the board in the past, was also elected.
For the other directors – solicitor Fiona Burns, lawyer Clint Coles, C7EVEN Communications owner Sara Crowe and small business owner Marjoyln Thomas – it will be their first time on the board.
The chamber thanked Ms Mahony and the former board – Peter Heilbuth, Dwone Jones, Daniel Meyers, Annabel Russ, Mary Ryan Garnett, Loanna Single and Lynn Stewart – for their service and commitment to the organisation.
“As a not for profit organisation, we rely heavily on the generous time donated by board directors, to continue to support our business community,” a chamber spokesperson said.
