The New England town has won the Prime Super Community Group of the Year – Population Under 15,000 Award – at the 2016 Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
They won the award from a strong field of finalists and nominees and were one of eight category winners announced on Friday at the regional achievement awards night in Wollongong.
Nundle formed a partnership with Destination Tamworth to generate marketing and promotional activity for the community.
Nundle now offers an extensive calendar of events, such as the two-day Go for Gold Festival, which attracts more than 10,000 visitors each year.
The efforts of the group have resulted in regional revenue of $1.5 million.
