The ever growing titles attracted 17 teams to Tamworth this week, and from all reports the players have had as much fun away from the crease as they have had on it.
Tamworth entered a side in all three divisions, and amazingly in the top grade Tamworth Blue had their second draw in three games on Wednesday, both at Chaffey Park.
After drawing with Hastings Sharks on Monday after scoring 204 batting first the hosts again batted first, finishing at 5-208 before Newcastle’s Lord Taverners finished their overs at 6-208.
Bob Haling and Bede Maher top scored for Tamworth with 42 and 40 respectively, while Bob Murphy’s 2-33 was the best of the bowlers at Chaffey Park.
In Division 2 Tamworth Gold bounced back from a loss on Tuesday to beat Port Jackson on Wednesday at TREC.
Unfortunately Tamworth Green didn’t have as much luck in Division 3, going down to UNEX at Belmore Park despite a blistering 43 at the top by Doug Truman.
