Over the course of the month, teams from the disability and foster care organisation from across the state will walk 10,000 steps per day. The aim of the game is to promote health and wellness across the organisation by getting out into the spring sunshine and walking daily.
More than 250 people and 30 teams have signed up for the challenge, including more than 70 people with a disability who aim to beat last year’s record of 7000km and almost nine million steps between them.
The initiative was organised by the organisation’s Work, Health and Safety representatives and is now in its second year with a prize for the team who records the most steps.
