Only recently graduated to the senior ranks, Brennan was a nine shot winner over Walgett’s Neil Newton with a two-under par for the 36 holes.
He was the overnight leader and joins elder brother Luke in 2013 at Barraba, and 12-times club champion Tim Stackman back in 2007, also at Walcha, as Walcha golfers to win the title.
Fresh from going within a whisker of shooting a course record the previous week, Brennan back in March won the NSW Fourball Sandgreen Championships with father Wayne at Hay.
Over 120 golfers contested the two-day tournament, which also incorporated the NSW Veterans Championships. It was the first time the two have been held together, and saw Murrurundi’s Phil Ledgerwood top the vets leaderboard.
Walcha will also host the Womens Sandgreen Championships later this month.
