After replacing a water main in Damar Ave, construction crews will work on another project on Limbri Rd this week where more than one kilometre of pipe will be replaced.
Tamworth Regional Council Water and Waste Enterprises Manager Projects and Services, Mick McGufficke, said work is expected to take nine weeks.
Traffic flow will be reduced to lane on the section of Limbri Road where work is taking place. Every effort will be made to restore two-way traffic after hours and at weekends.
Over the last few weeks, residents of Damar Avenue had an ongoing water issue resolved after Council fast tracked the replacement of a troubled water main in a project worth $90,000.
