Clean areas need boost

The Greens have urged the NSW Government to focus on jobs growth in regional NSW after the community defeat of the Caroona coalmine on the Liverpool Plains.  “I strongly congratulate the Liverpool Plains communities, former local MP Tony Windsor, Tim Duddy and his family and all the local farmers for the great win in stopping BHP Billiton,” senator Lee Rhiannon said. She urged for renewables, clean manufacturing and other sectors to replace mining.
