BREAKING: Man charged over Bingara touch judge assault
A Bingara man has been charged in relation to the alleged assault of a touch judge.

The 43-year-old man fronted Bingara Police Station on Thursday where he was charged by local officers with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.
Police will allege the man assaulted a Pirates linesman who was knocked unconscious while officiating the Gwydir River Rats and Pirates game in Bingara on August 30.
The victim was taken to Bingara Hospital for treatment and later released.
The accused has been ordered to appear in Inverell Local Court in October.
