Ms Cruckshank is completing her certificate III in health services assistance with Hunter New England Health Services at Wee Waa Community Hospital, while also undertaking her HSC. She saw a need for better health care in terms of remote and rural nursing as well as palliative care, and hopes to specialise in these areas.
Though she has her sights set on becoming a registered nurse and volunteering in third world countries, for now she is juggling her studies with her involvement in the SRC, the NSW Young Women’s Christian Association, working casually at the local IGA and volunteering with local aged care facilities.
