The 17-year-old boy fronted Moree Local Court yesterday charged with one count of being carried in a conveyance without consent.
Magistrate Darryl Pearce refused bail, remanding the boy in custody until later this month.
Police will allege the teenager was one of three boys who led police on a pursuit at Boggabilla on Friday.
After receiving numerous complaints from motorists, police tried to pull over a stolen vehicle on the Bruxner Highway before it allegedly took off.
Police gave chase but the vehicle, which was stolen from Boggabilla earlier that evening, was found abandoned in bushland outside Toomelah.
The 17-year-old was arrested along with a 16-year-old boy who was charged and released on conditional bail, while another 17-year-old boy was arrested in Coffs Harbour on Sunday.
He’s been charged with driver never licensed, drive conveyance without consent of owner, police pursuit and breach of bail.
He was also refused bail to front court.
Police are investigating two fail to pay at a local service station and a second stolen car as well as a break-and-enter from Goondiwindi around the same time.
