Sarah and Chris Tice moved to Tamworth a few months ago from Zetland in Sydney.
Mrs Tice works in radiation oncology, so wants to helps cancer patients and their families.
Mr and Mrs Tice are no strangers to the dance floor with Mr Tice having about four years of dancing experience and Mrs Tice has about three.
The couple hopes to raise $3000, having already held a trivia night at The Pub and cake stalls and barbecues at Tamworth hospital.
Mr Tice got involved because organisers were looking for partners with dance experience.
“We’ve had a lot to do with dance in Sydney, socially and performing,” he said.
They’ve also been touched by cancer with Mr Tice losing an aunt to breast cancer.
They said, in a competitive sense, they might have an advantage due to their dance experience, but fun was the aim of the game.
“It’s supposed to be fun and about raising money,” Mrs Tice said.
“It’s about getting up and having fun and that everyone has a great time as well.”
The couple will dance the salsa.
