The local man said he was in disbelief after learning his entry into NSW Lotteries’ Scratch eClub second-chance draw had produced the unexpected windfall.
“I just couldn’t believe it,” he told them.
“To know that my Scratch-Its ticket, which wasn’t a winner, has now scored me $10,000 is just incredible. All because I took the time to punch some numbers into my computer.”
The win has given him the opportunity to attend his motorcycle social club’s annual function, an event he otherwise would not have gone to.
“I definitely wouldn’t have been able to go before I won this money, so I’m really looking forward to it,” he said.
The man has also shared some of the joy by helping his loved ones.
“I have already used some of it to help my family and some friends,” he said.
“Just to buy some smaller items that they can’t afford.”
