Yesterday morning at 8.30am Essential Energy crews reduced the number of affected homes and businesses to 157.
In Coonabarabran / Baradine there are 94 homes and businesses still affected.
A spokesman said sadly that number included houses and buildings completely destroyed by fire, where there was no possibility of restoration at this time.
In Narrabri there were 44; Coonamble 13 and Gunnedah six homes and or businesses still waiting for their power to be restored.
A spokesman said restoring power where possible continued to be a top priority.
“The damage to the power network has been significant and crews currently estimate that at the end of the restoration efforts over 210 power poles will need to be replaced, with at least 120 of them in the Coonabarabran area,” he said.
It was hoped restoration efforts in Gunnedah would be completed last night.
