About 2pm, three boys between 12 and 13 years old were allegedly seen walking into the home’s backyard before opening an unlocked rear door. Once inside, they allegedly stole a bag containing a number of items.
Police were contacted and arrived to find the three youths running from the home. The youths were chased and two were caught and arrested.
They were taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter and enter enclosed lands.
In an afternoon court hearing, they were granted conditional bail to reappear in Tamworth Children’s Court on January 8. Police are continuing inquiries into the third young boy who got away.
