Led by the likes of Group 4 reps Mitch Doring and Jarmarley Jerrard, the THS boys were too strong for Oxley in the game, winning 38-18, but the score on the field was far from the most important figure for the day.
What was really important was the amount of money the game raised for the cause.
The White Ribbon charity aims to stamp out domestic violence and the two schools have supported the campaign over the past three years, not only via the annual match, but also through other activities inside and outside the schools.
The game was well-supported, with students from both schools boosting the crowd numbers.
All up, the efforts raised $2500 for the White Ribbon charity and the local women’s refuge.
