The free workshop will be delivered by Cheyne Flanagan, head veterinarian at the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.
The workshop will cover:
* koala behaviour, social biology and habitat;
* reasons for admission to care;
* how to capture and handle koalas;
* how to assess a koala’s condition;
* treatment options; and
* how to release koalas back into their habitat.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday in room 39 in the science building at Moree Secondary College’s Albert St campus.
