An 81-year-old woman is recovering after being threatened by an intruder in her home in South Tamworth this morning.

Police from Oxley Local Area Command have been told the woman woke about 12.10am (19 November) to find a man standing beside her bed.
The man threatened her then left the Bell Street home a short time later empty-handed.
The woman was shaken but physically uninjured.
Police were alerted and conducted a search of the area without success.
Police now wish to speak with a man they believe can assist with this investigation.
He was described only as being aged in his 20s and at the time he was wearing dark clothing.
Police wish to speak with anyone with information about the incident or who may know this man.
They are also hoping for information about anyone seen acting suspiciously in the vicinity of Bell Street about midnight to contact Tamworth Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The woman was checked at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics; she is now staying with family members.
