In Canowindra men's bowls news last week Brent Lees was able to reach the major singles final after defeating Steve Kirkman 31-27 and Ben Rooke 31-21. In the final Brent played Dave Crowe. After 29 ends the scores were close being 23-22 in favour of Crowey. After this Crowey edged away to win the final 31-26. A major triples match was played with Phil Jones, Barney Robson and Richard Fitzgerald against Peter Taylor, Roger Traves and Dool Beath. After 14 ends Richard's team had a handy lead 14-7. Dool's team was unable to bridge the gap with Richard's team winning 17-14. A major fours match was also played last Sunday with Pil Jones, Brad Byrnes, Barney Robson and Richard Fitzgerald against Luke, Trevor Hoy and Jack and Harry Webb. After 12 ends the scores were close being 10-9 in favour of Richard's team who then edged away to win the match 20-14. Saturday, May 28 no games drawn due to the football home game.
