About Our Client

My client is a market leading FMCG organisation, who are looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their national head office. Reporting to the Financial Controller this is an exciting position where you will be working with the business to help drive performance.

Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad Senior Accountant position encompassing both financial and management accounting with a highly motivated team and organisation. You will prepare monthly reports for the local management team including key insights into performance. You will also be assisting with budget preparation, including loading into SAP and updating cost centres.Other key responsibilities will include the following:

• Participate in monthly local management review including Marketing, Production and Management meetings.
• Perform costing control, including Production orders analysis and activity unit cost calculations and communicate with Regional headquarters.
• Review unit blending cost and provide analysis of deviation from target.
• Ensure that AR and AP-related internal controls at the site are operating as designed and take corrective actions where there is a breakdown in the system.
• Monitor accounting processing of FSS in line with DAR
• Monitor the monthly Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.
• Reconciliation of monthly control accounts and other accounts as required.
• Perform month end closing tasks, such as accruals.
• Oversee monthly cycle counts and bi-annual stocktakes and ensure proper follow-up.
• Monthly BAS reporting.
• Monthly withholding tax reporting.

The Successful Applicant

• Demonstrated experience in a finance function preferably in an industrial, FMCG or cosntruction environment, working across financial and management accounting duties and responsibilities.
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision;
• To be articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to think creatively, be highly driven and self-motivated.
• Strong commitment to be a team player and working in a fun team environment.
