A successful, creative and experienced firm is currently seeking an Experienced Project Architect with 5+ years of post-graduate experience to work on custom designed and highly detailed single residential, multi-residential + some commercial projects. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience and extensive knowledge in detailed construction documentation on individually crafted residential and commercial projects.
Your new role
- Develop established concepts to a design development level.
- Detailed design resolution including drawings, schedules, material specification & presentations.
- Preparation of drawings, schedules and reports for report & consent and town planning applications.
- Co-ordination of specialist consultants and incorporation of their work into the Architectural drawing set.
- Be part of the leadership team: of 2-3 people per project.
- Preparation of contract documentation drawings, schedules & specification for tender and for construction.
- Call tenders and coordination of tender process from start to finish.
- Arrange for the signing and execution of the contract documents by both parties.
- Responsible for Contract Administration duties including: Site visits, assessment of RFI’s, variations, Progress Claims & defects.
Skills
Creative problem solving through design thinking. Ability to work through the process of detailed design to deliver buildable and durable and cost-effective construction
solutions. Ability to visualise concepts and creatively work through problem through detailed design and documentation. Detailing and documentation skills. Ability to effectively lead communication with internal project team / consultants / client / builder and other project
stakeholders. Ability to run multiple projects in parallel. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively coordinate the work of specialist consultants and the internal project team. Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment. Ability to run projects and manage the project program effectively and efficiently. Good understanding of the Planning Scheme and associated requirements relating to the Building Consent and Town
Planning process. Good understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) and standards pertaining to residential projects. Good understanding of building methodologies, material performance, and the roles of individual trades within the
construction team. General understanding of labour and material costs in residential construction.
Qualifications
Post-Graduate qualifications ARBV Registration (open to non-registered candidates or on the path to becoming one)
Software + Technology Revit (must be proficient) Rhino & Sketch-Up) (preferred but not essential) Adobe SuiteWhat you'll get in return
