APS6 Strategic Policy Advisor and Researcher

Your new company

Hays are working with a Federal Government department to assist with the recruitment of a contract Strategic Policy advisor and researcher. This department has a broad remit that that benefits and supports All Australians.

Your new role

The role of Policy Advisor & Researcher is a temporary assignment through Hays at an APS6 Level for a period of up to eighteen months. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Undertake research and analysis, reviewing alternatives in relation to policy deliverables
• Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of papers, briefs, and submissions
• Prepare and review policy advice to ensure alignment with policy directions
• Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committee meetings, and stakeholder consultations
• Undertake research and collate information for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation purposes

What you'll need to succeed

Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience are highly desirable. The ideal Candidate will also have:

• Public Policy experience
• Strategic/business planning
• Baseline vetting highly regarded
• Must be an Australian Citizen
