A 23-year-old man has been charged over the death of an 88-year-old woman following a traffic incident on NSW's South Coast. The man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death following the incident in Nowra. Emergency services were called to the intersection of Worrigee Street and Nowra Lane on Wednesday following reports a woman had been struck by a car. The elderly woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital, where she died the following day. The man, who was uninjured in the incident, was arrested in Falls Creek about 10.30am on Thursday and taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged. He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Nowra local court on June 27. Australian Associated Press
