The new store at the corner of Lockheed and Jewry streets celebrated its grand opening in the grandest of ways: fireworks.
The special guest singer, former Australian Idol contestant and Telstra Road to Tamworth winner Jessica Mauboy, couldn’t talk to The Leader before her performance last night, as she was resting her voice. However, she was in fine tune for her 45-minute performance.
Other big hits as part of the celebrations included games, giveaways and circus-themed activities such as clowns, face painting, fairy floss and popcorn.
Complex manager Dean Dannevig said the celebrations capped off a busy first 10 days for the store.
“We’ve have more than 1000 people through the new store each day,” he said.
The festivities continue today with fun-filled, circus-themed activities from 10am to 4pm for kids of all ages to enjoy. Bob the Builder will also stop by the store.
The fun will continue when former Masterchef contestant and 2012 Cleo Bachelor of the Year, Hayden Quinn, hosts a cooking demonstration next Saturday.
