Haley Smith is the second charged in the Operation Southbreak blitz that's been probing multiple thefts across the city.
Operation Southbreak police have been investigating reports a man and a woman were stealing handbags and other personal property from shopping malls, car parks and motels in Tamworth between January 3 and 10.
The Leader revealed Tyrone Brown was arrested in an early-morning operation last Friday, and charged with stealing and stolen goods offences. He remains in custody.

Police stopped Smith in a vehicle on Peel Street about 4.30pm on Monday. During a search of the car, officers seized several handbags, a car key and $9500 in cash.
She appeared in Tamworth Local Court on three separate cases, facing 16 dishonesty, fraud and drug charges in total.
The 26-year-old was not required to enter pleas to the charges, and magistrate Philip Stewart denied bail on two cases.
Both will front court again later this month. Police said Operation Southbreak investigations are continuing.
