As many Gunnedah residents were celebrating the Bulldogs AFL North West grand final win on Saturday afternoon, firefighters from across the region were called out to a truck fire on Boggabri Road.
Units from Gunnedah Fire and Rescue, Gunnedah Rural Fire Service, Boggabri Fire and Rescue and West Tamworth Fire and Rescue attended the scene where a b-double truck loaded with ironbark firewood was on fire.

NSW Police, NSW Ambulance and Gunnedah Shire Council were also on the scene as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
Later the same night, around 10.30pm, Gunnedah Fire and Rescue were called to a bin fire in Jaeger Avenue.
Two bins were on fire at the house and there was damage to the fuse box and the side of the house before the fire was extinguished.
