LGNSW president Linda Scott also said it was a critical time to find innovative water management schemes at a local government level.
“With communities across regional NSW struggling with the impacts of drought, it’s more important than ever to seize this opportunity to network with peers, exchange ideas about how to manage our precious water reserves and learn more about the latest developments in policy and technology,” Cr Scott said.
“We’ll discuss the future of urban water reform, hear case studies on emerging technologies and local infrastructure, consider how to manage sustained periods of drought better, and find options for domestic water supply in non-reticulated areas.”
