Girls get physical in new hall

SOME talented, young physical culture girls are preparing for big competitions in Sydney.

Attunga’s Isobel Kelly is one.

She became a junior zone champion for the third year in a row at the recent Australian Physie and Dance Association (APDA) Zone Championships in Tamworth and is now now off to Sydney for next month’s junior national finals.

The Tamworth  trio of Taleah Herden, Brittany Morgan and Maddison Stacpoole also finished first in their five-year division and also made it to the national finals at The Concourse  @ Chatwood on November 18.

The recent APDA zone championships were held at William Cowper campus in Tamworth with four clubs – Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Moree and Tamworth – competing in senior ladies’ and girls’ divisions.

Tamworth’s Gina Herden said the William Cowper campus facilities in the new hall were “fantastic”.

“It was an amazing day for the newly-formed APDA with some great results,” Ms Herden said.

“The club is looking forward to seeing how the juniors from our zone fare at the national finals held at The Concourse @ Chatswood.”
