A games night held yesterday evening as part of Library Lovers Day was also a preview of the titles that will be on offer, such as Ticket to Ride, Citadels and Sheriff of Nottingham.
Reader services librarian Amanda Burke said the library also hoped to start hosting regular games nights.

“We were really appreciative that they were able to do that.”
She said the library’s items and services were much more than just the traditional print book – with everything from Toddler Time for children from birth to three years, to audiobooks for the person on the go.
“We have a cake tin collection ... and also will be offering the little Russian piping tools for patty cakes and cakes,” she said.
“We have a seed library and also offer technology programs for children under the STEM lines.
“We offer film streaming through Beamafilm, we have e-audiobooks and e-books through our online databases, we have online magazines that we can download.

The games night was free, for people aged 18-plus, and had canapes, boutique beers and wines on offer.
