He might have been lacking a bit of his usual venom but Brad Jenkinson still had Kookaburras in a flap as Albion pushed on to claim the outright points and solidify their spot on top of the table.

Resuming on Saturday at 4-164, and with first innings points already in the bag, Albion batted for about 10 overs before, with a just over a 150 run lead, skipper Andy Mack called the batsmen in.
Bowling off a shorter run, Jenkinson then showed his wicket drought was well and truly over, claiming 5-21 as they cleaned up a nine-man Kookaburras for a paltry 49, Paddy Paul the only batsmen to make double figures. Jenkinson’s wicket haul capped off a brilliant allround game after top-scoring with 73.
In the other game a second straight outright slipped through Court House’s fingers and with it their minor premiership hopes.
Requiring just five more wickets for first innings points, it took them 20 overs to complete the job, as led by Stan Gaynor (12) and Sam Lumby (13) Mornington scratched their way to 92.
Court House then set about building on their 49 run lead, but things didn’t quite eventuate as they’d hoped and they had to settle for a 134 and about 30 overs to bowl at Mornington.
The runs were realistically never going to be the issue it was the wickets, as proved to be with a dogged Mornington only six down, dropped catches hurting Court House.
“We had a few chances early on. If we took those we probably would have outrighted them,” skipper Farran Lamb said.
With Albion’s outright it means Court House can’t catch them with only one round remaining.
