In regards to the earlier letter about saving the Old Railway Station over in West Tamworth. Well good luck on that front. Getting something done about that would be like winning the lotto. Near impossible.

If Tamworth is prepared to put Heritage Listing's on the buildings in and around the Tamworth area, why aren't they prepared to go the extra distance to save these buildings instead of letting them fall into a state of disrepair.
These historic buildings represent a significant part of Tamworth's history. They have helped to make Tamworth what it is today.
One only has to look at the Tintinhull Inn just out of town. This was a major part of Tamworth's history and it's now falling down. I think the vines are the only thing holding it up. This place is rich in history.
The old Inn might be on private property but surely the owner and Council could come to some agreement to save this old building before it's too late?
Calala Cottage was saved, so why can't these other old buildings be saved as well?
Tamworth desperately needs more things of interest for visitors to see.
